the disCOurse, offered on History Colorado‘s website, “features writers sharing their lived experiences and their perspectives on the past with an eye toward informing our present.” Mirai Generations Leadership Program Alum Courtney Ozaki penned the story of her family’s journey to Denver’s historically Black Five Points neighborhood, where a multigenerational love of tortillas was born. Her father, Charles Ozaki, is a Sakura Foundation board member and Chair of Sakura Square LLC. Her uncle, Joe Ozaki, is Board President of Sakura Foundation.
