Cultural events and activities are impactful ways that Sakura Foundation shares the Japanese and Japanese American culture with the Denver and Rocky Mountain communities, the largest of which is the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

Colorado is an amazing place to thrive due in large part to the ethnic diversity that shapes its inclusiveness, broadens its level of understanding, and enriches the souls of its residents. Sakura Foundation recognizes the Japanese and Japanese American heritage, culture, and community and has been celebrating and sharing it with pride. It also recognizes the need to bring the community together beyond ethnic lines in order to contribute to the inclusiveness of the region.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual event co-presented by Sakura Foundation and Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple which brings the Denver and Rocky Mountain community together to celebrate the Japanese and Japanese American culture through dance, music, food, wares, art and tradition. Through this June weekend of entertainment and friendship with the public, Sakura Foundation and Temple provide at atmosphere of unity and outreach to enhance the lives of the attendees.
